I’m in the interview process for a residency program and they are requesting 5 references and having them fill out some kind of survey about my qualifications. 2 of them should preferably be my past managers.
My problem is, I’ve only worked part time jobs where my managers don’t even know my name and I don’t have contact with them because they don’t work there anymore. Only 2 clinical instructors responded to my request. I want to ask my professors but most of them don’t know me that well because most our lectures have been on zoom. I’m not the most memorable student and I’m very average. Is it still worth asking them? I’m feeling major regrets for not building relationships with my instructors ?

I regret not building relationships with my instructors too and also feel pretty average. I'm following this post bc I need similar advice.

I'm a bit late to the post. What did you end up doing?

I feel like you should ask everyone that you possibly can since you were in their classroom and even if you didn't interact with them that much they still have data regarding how you performed in their class. Most of the time, the professors have a general outline of the letters of recommendation they will write for students since they are asked every year. It doesn't hurt to try and it is always better to have extra letter of recommendation just in case.
