Congrats! CVICU will be great experience! Everyone seemed so nice. I actually had to take back my acceptance, but I wish you the best of luck!
Oh, darn! I was excited to have finally met someone else... where will you be doing your new grad? Everyone was nice but the interview I thought was brutal.... 40 minutes long with both behavioral and clinical questions...wow
I was accepted on DOU sorry missed that part . There were a lot of both types of questions! My interviewers made me feel extremely comfortable though. CVICU is probably a lot more intense. I am interviewing for Cedars next Wednesday, wish me luck! It was really hard to pass on Good Sam because the pay was extremely competitive and it seems like a great teaching hospital. Heard nothing but good things about their new grad program so I know you'll love it!
Oh, you have? I am so relieved, I have been researching about their new grad program but have not found anyythhhiiinnnnnngggggg... I live 5 minutes away so I had to jump on it. I was the second to last to interview so I think they were tired, but I had fun with it.
Some of my friends were interviewed there and they asked:
Tell me about your self (which is literally a 4 part question who you are as a nurse, who you take care of, what makes you special, what about the program will exceed), Why cedars, how to deal with a difficult patient, tell me a time you took criticism, what are bp meds classes and name one of each, what would you expect in crash cart
that's all I can remember from what my friend told me. I wish you the best of luck!
I heard from word of mouth and saw some posts on facebook new grad RN groups! I think you'll be good! During my interview they made it seem like a really good place for new grads. 5 minutes?? That's so awesome! I'd be 2 hours away with traffic so that added to my decision.
Wow!! Thank you so much this is so helpful!!

Hi,
I applied to both PIH Good Samaritan and PIH Whittier for their new grad options. I got an interview coming up for Good Sam. I was wondering if I would still be able to get an interview for the Whittier location or do they flag you and note that I am interviewing for Good Sam?
I know for the providence new grad program you can only interview for one locations so I’m asking for PIH if anyone has any ideas. Thank you!

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone if any one on this thread still works at Good Samaritan? I’m in LVn school and see that Good Sam has a new grad LVN program? I know scope of practice will be different but any input from current nurses there that have seen any LVNs go through this program or can tell me if the LVN works the floor would be great. I don’t graduate until Spring 2023. Looking forward to the comments!
