New to the forums and to CCU

Hello, my name is Amanda. Ive been a nurse for 4 years and up untill 4 months ago I has worked in surgery. I just moved to a new area with my fiance, and I am now working in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Any words of wisdom and ideas to help in making myself a better nurse would be helpful! Thanks

Welcome to allnurses Amanda, I loved critical care and I think the most important thing I was taught in my first few years was to always treat the patient rather than the machines. The are there to support but don't forget the basics of nursing in amongst all that technology.
