New CMA

I have just been certified as a medication aide and will start my new job on Jan. 3rd (had to give 2 weeks notice at my current job). Being new to the CMA world, can y'all help me compile a list of questions for when I start orientation such as: when are you supposed to order new meds (how often)? I have no clue what to ask!

Congrats and Good Luck on your new job, I don't know how I can help with questions but I can advise you to keep a pad and pen and keep notes on what you learn, learn what you can about the meds you administer, keep your eyes and ears open, come to work well rested.

Have a list of diabetic patients, patients with allergies, patients who need routine blood levels for medications such as Digoxin ( theres another thread for the whole list) Each facility has its own way of doing things so I don't know what you will need.

Hope this helps,
