They're just starting out this January, and I suppose that's why they're "working" on accreditation. I too was surprised on hearing this...it's kind of a neat little secret if it really lives up to what a BSN program is supposed to be like!
I'm also gearing up for clinical 1 and I'm burning out here. It's like you're running a marathon (or doing the MS walk as it were) and you keep going and you don't realize how tired you are- until you sit down for a breather. A pit stop. We had a bunch of tests in one week, then I found out that 2 of my upcoming tests are going to be open book, and then at the same time my boyfriend and I went on a much needed holiday (pshh, to STILLWATER...:rotfl: ) and then all of a sudden, it was time to stand back up and continue on...then you feel the blisters popping up on your feet (especially on your heel and inner feet) and it's like dragging a kid to a dentist chair!
Hey Strandys,
We took a mini vacation last weekend (one that we could not really afford), but I think it helped a little bit.
I hope that the next semester to come gets easier. I know we have a LOT more tests and faster in Med Surg 2, but at least we'll be out on the floor and that will be good for some practical knowledge. (I hope.)
Yours in stress,
katmiaow :wink2:
Sweet Strandy's! I didn't think that Jude would let you do an open book test!
I know what you mean about the finals and all these tests. I'm going to be around after Fundamentals on Wednesday and probably Tuesday for a bit, so if you want to study, let me know!

Thanks! I need one! I'm p-ing and moaning about getting a B in Med Surg...and I got a B because I missed ONE question on the final. ONE more right and I would have gotten an A. But really I shouldn't do that...I know. I'm just getting ready for the Fundementals final, and then Clinical. That sure went fast.

through Globe College, has anyone heard anything about it, good or bad? They are accredited through the state of MN, and are working on national accreditation. So any thoughts would be appreciated.
I'm going on a college tour hopefully Friday, so I'll let you guys know what I think.
The first semester (before clinical 1) is winding down, and I'm stressed as hell, but hopefully it will be worth it because I AM NOT taking Fundamentals and that stupid "Success Strategies" class.
