The NET test was not that bad- If you know how to convert percentages and basic prealgebra. I was more worried about the math portion of the test than the reading comprehension because I feel I am stronger in reading than math. Well the exact opposite happened....I did better in the math portion than the rading comprehension. I ended up with a 94 so I did well, but I don't know if it was the NET study guide or just luck. I also had recently taken a remedial algebra class. Good Luck

I used the NET guide when I was entering nursing school. And, honestly, if you do the two sample tests then you are looking at the test. The test is identical to the sample ones in the book. If you are comfortable with them...than you should be fine. Never really knew about whether or not answering a question work for you or aganist you. Good Luck!
EVERYONE SAYS THE READING PART IS REAL HARD AND IT HAS WORRIED ME TO DEATH. THEY SAY THEY ALWAYS RUN OUT OF TIME.IM GONNA TRY TO QUIT STRESSING AND JUST GO GIVE IT MY BEST:confused:

I don't think the NET is HARD its just DIFFERENT. Instead of there being clear cut answers in the Reading its more critical thinking. What you think the best answer is vs. straight from the paragraph answers. Good Luck!
DID YOU DO GOOD ON THE READING PART AND DID YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO FINISH ITS IN THE MORNING IM JUST HOPING AND PRAYING.:heartbeat

I had to take the NET after being admitted to the Nursing Program. At my school, they do not use the scores for admission into the program. They simply use them as a building block to determine 1) what type of learner you are; 2) your strengths; 3) your weaknesses.
It really wasn't that bad for me. I had to use basic math that I have not used in a while.

WELL I TOOK THE TEST TODAY AND FAILED THE READING, WE DONE THE MATH FIRST AFTER THE MATH I TOLD THE PROCTOR THAT MY PC WAS MESSING UP. SHE TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD ONLY TAKE YOU BACK TO FINISH THE ONES YOU SKIPPED, BUT IT KEPT TAKING ME BACK TO THE ONES I HAD ALREADY ANSWERED. SHE JUST WALKED AWAY. TRHE FUNNY THING WAS THE FIRST THING THEY TOLD US THIS MORNING WAS THEY DIDNT KNOW HOW THE TEST WOULD GO BECAUSE THEY WERE HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE PC'S WITH GETTING THE TEST PUT IN SO SHE DIDNT SEEM TO CARE THAT MINE WAS MESSING UP. I REALLY FEEL THAT I WOULD HAVE PASSED IF THE PC WERE NOT MESSED UP I ONLY LIKED 1 POINT PASSING THE READING. SO GO FIGURE. ON TOP OF IT ALL SHE SITTING OVER THERE TYPING ON THE PC WHILE WE WERE TAKING THE READING TEST WHICH WAS VERY DISTRACTING.
