NET TEST.......panic mode

Maybe I am paranoid.....but I am so nervous because I have been trying to decide what nursing program I want to transfer to. I found the school that I am going to consider. And now I need to study for the NET test. Most people are mainly worried the most about the math part. I'm worried about the reading comprehension part since I have been told thats the part that everybody struggles at the most.

So my question is on the NET test when you are taking the test are you allowed to go back in the passage to review it while answering your questions?

Does anybody have any study tip that may help to study for this and pass with a decent score and not just the minimum passing.

Thanks!

The NET test that i took you were allowed to go back to the passage while answering the questions and the test itself was not that bad at all.

I was also allowed to go back to the passage to find answers. The only thing is that it is timed, so you have to watch. I got a study guide for the NET, and that helped me a great amount. I ended up doing very well and got accepted into my program. I do have to say, that the reading section is harder than the math...

I also got a study guide. It's really not that big of a deal. We tend to be our own greatest enemies on tests like this. You really want to get in, so there's a lot of stress involved and that makes the test seem exponentially harder. If you can somehow not worry about the ramifications of the test, you'll do very well.

Good luck!

thanks for the input a lot. I did get the NET study guide book so that I can get a better understanding of the format on the test. To get in the RN I need to score a minimum of 57% but the school perfers for students to score in the 70 percentile range for a guranteed slot.

I guess thats why I am letting my nerves get the best of me.

all i have to say is be LUCKY your not taking the TEAS:uhoh3:

THAT was a nightmare ...math..reading..scince...grammer/enligsh

yeah, I KNOW.......... I'm very happy that I'm not going to take the TEAS. I just get test anxiety especially when I hear a lot of stories from different people who didnt do to great.

yeah my friend took the NET right before our school switched to the TEAS..lucky her , scored a 90. i was telling her some of the stuff that was on the TEAS is just ridiculous .asking about clouds and tectonic plates...and the science has all sorts of chemistry and physics on there .. SOMEHOW i managed a 70 in the science section and an 80% overall..so it is doable ...just wish i could have avoided it and took the NET before they discontinued it -_-

Yep the TEAS test was unreal -- I did well but stuff I didn't care about from 7th grade was asked -- seriously who care what position those tectonic plates are shifting.

The NET...I smoked it. All I did was download a practice exam and try it. No worries. If you are concerned get a decent study guide and follow-it. I really think you needn't be nervous.
