Nervous!!

Hey all! im going to be a freshman at Arizona State University in the nursing department, and ive always wanted to be a nurse.. but im nervous about the needles part of it.. i absolutly hate getting shots and i cant even watch when im giving blood or getting and iv put in.. blood doesnt gross me out.. just cant watch someone putting a needle in me!! am i too squemish and will it go away over time!?

I totally understand what you mean! I don't like to see when I have to get an injection or blood draw, BUT I can always watch other people get stuck with needles, and it doesn't bother me a bit. My thing is that "it'll hurt more if I look"...if that makes any sense! Blood doesn't bother me though. You'll probably get over that fear...it's not like you'll be sticking yourself with the needles, it will be other people.
