Nerves are kicking in!!

I have one semester of community college left before I start an accelerated nursing program in the spring... I can't believe it's around the corner! I am getting so nervous!! I am a smart, hard-working, well organized student that have always dreamed about being a nurse.... I just can't believe it's finally here. Thoughts keep running through my mind.. Am I going to succeed? Am I gonna fail? How hard is it going to be? I know it's going to be hard, it's a nursing program, but I know I can do it!!! Just getting a bit nervous.. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions about dealing with nerves?! Or share your experience from your first semester or even first year of nursing school. Thanks :)

I always look around and see all those other people who did it, and tell myself I'm just as smart and pretty :) as they are, so why not me? And then I put it out of my mind and go to work.

I just applied for our spring BSN program. I won't find out till October and the wait is already killing me! I even ordered a "future RN" tote from 31 gifts to use for clinicals. I've been told by my advisor that its in my favor, based on past stats of acceptance. I just am not buying anything else till I know lol. Congrats to you on getting accepted! My nerves will kick in once I get accepted....there's so much to do and buy and it seems overwhelming! Do u ever get on YouTube? I've watched other videos on experiences in nursing school and it helps!

You just type in "nursing school" and everyone has their own videos on clinicals, overall experiences, etc. I like Robins journey( like the 3rd or 4th video on the 1st page). These people each have like 20 videos or more of their own different things. It's just nice to watch and see what I'll be going through!

I tell myself exactly this when I'm feeling like crap about myself. I look at the students in the semesters ahead of me and think, if they can do it, so can I. I made the President's list first semester...I got this! :)
