I have one semester of community college left before I start an accelerated nursing program in the spring... I can't believe it's around the corner! I am getting so nervous!! I am a smart, hard-working, well organized student that have always dreamed about being a nurse.... I just can't believe it's finally here. Thoughts keep running through my mind.. Am I going to succeed? Am I gonna fail? How hard is it going to be? I know it's going to be hard, it's a nursing program, but I know I can do it!!! Just getting a bit nervous.. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions about dealing with nerves?! Or share your experience from your first semester or even first year of nursing school. Thanks :)

Everything will fall into place. Stay focused on what is front of you because tomorrow will have enough of its own issues. I suggest learning how to relax, trust God and enjoy the ride. Study and do good. ♥

Good day:
Keep positive self talk. eg. "I can do it" "I am capable" etc.
There will be days where you feel overwhelmed. Personally, I had three intense days towards the end of my first week with a lot of self doubt feelings. I prayed, I took some breaks, and validated that I could do it by going through self exams (i.e. vocabulary, concepts, etc.). I made it a point to go on more frequent walks just to get fresh air and be active.
Remember that courage is not the absence of fear, but the willingness to go through the fear. For me, that includes anxiety, nervousness, etc.
You can do it!
