IT HAS BEEN 14YRS. SINCE GRADUATING NURSING SCHOOL,I REGRET TO SAY I HAD GIVEN UP ON PASSING THE BOARD EXAM!I'VE BEATEN MYSELF LONG ENOUGH AND HAVE TO COMPLETE MY LIFE..FINALLY BECOMING THE LPN I KNOW I CAN BE.CAN SOMEONE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO DO..DO I TAKE THE COURSE AGAIN OR IS THERE A REFRESHER COURSE?PLEASE,PLEASE I NEED TO DO THIS.I'VE E-MAILED ABN,NO REPLY AS OF THIS TIME.THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.:heartbeat

you should call the board of nurses in the state where you live, they can give you an answer.

Have you tried remedial classes? Before taken my boards I attend Kaplan. Before you do anything, you take an exam. When resulted, the results shows your weaknesses and strengths. From there you can take exams in areas where you need help. Also it shows you how to pick the right answer if you are stuck on the question. There are other programs like Kaplan if it is not in your area. Good luck!

It is imperative that you place a telephone call to your state's BON to obtain a final answer on this issue. Some states will require that you repeat the entire LPN program since way too much time has elapsed between graduation and potential licensing. Other states would still allow you to take boards. Therefore, your unique situation is dependent upon the state in which you're trying to get licensed.
