i need to know

Hello everyone ,

Quick question, I am currently climbing the nursing ladder, slowly but surely. I work at a nursing home right now as a nurses aid yes that na not cna. However i am in the class that start next week. Now i heard something that i need to know if its true: That if you are enrolled in a cna class and can prove it that you can work in a facility that accepts only "certified" aids before you are done with the program. oh yeah i live in jersey so that might help. If anyone knows please help or if you know where i can find out if its true. thanks

In NH you must have completed a certain number of theory hours before we could even start clinincal, and you need a certain amount of clinical hours before you can work as a Certified or Licensed nurses aid. Check with your BON though. You can access thier website and it should be listed on it.
