I graduated BSN from a foreign country. I took NCLEX-RN and failed, I'm planning to take NCLEX-LVN instead. Is it possible? Is anyone of you out there have similar experience? Please tell me how you did it.

First, you have to apply for LVN licensure through the state board of nursing. Then you have to go to the Pearson VUE website and register for the NCLEX-PN exam. Wait for the state BON to approve your application and issue you an ATT. Then you can schedule the exam and take the test. The process is the same as taking the NCLEX-RN.
But before you do this, please look at the reason why you failed the NCLEX. Was it a language barrier? Was it difficulty reading/breaking down the questions? Do you need to refresh yourself on the content? Without figuring out why you failed and fixing it, you'll likely not be successful on the PN either. It's not simply an easier exam. It is a different area of nursing and still a difficult test.

Not all states will permit a nurse trained in a RN program to sit for the NCLEX-PN. New Jersey & New York are two such states, and I believe PA is also but I am not certain. Only candidates who have completed a qualifying practical nursing program can sit for the NCLEX-PN. While scope of practice and educational curriculum of an LPN & RN do overlap, they are not the same and there are some definitive differences.
Follow AshleyPICURN's advice, when you get the NCLEX candidate report that details your weak(er) areas you can use that to focus your review for the next test.
