Hi...I just passed my boards last week. I bought NCLEX box of flash cards and carried the box wherever I went so I could go through question after question. These are great b/c it has 3 - 4 questions on one side and the answer adn rational on the other side. I wore them out!!! Also I bought a review book that had a CD to use with my computer and I would spend 1 - 2 hours every day just going through question after question and reading the rational for each answer. Also jotted down concepts that i needed to look up to refresh my brain. I didnt look at my school nursing notes once while studying. I also took a week long NCLEX review course that was offered by the college I attended.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I have been told that the Saunders Comprehensive Review is the best. ISBN 1-4160-3199-5.
Good luck!

yes, i agree with *Heather*, the book and cd by Saunders is fabulous! :)
good luck with the test! I know ppl who tried to review all the materials from the entire nursing program to prepare for the NCLEX, but in the end, I just decided that practicing question and question ad nauseum was the best way to pass.
I also did the Kaplan review course, but that was almost 5 monts prior to my taking (and passing on try #1! :) ) the NCLEX. the best thing I can say about Kaplan is their Q-bank, and the strategy Kaplan gives for answering questions on the NCLEX.
I had many, many NCLEX review books, but the one that I ended up using was the Saunders review.
