When I was on an IV Team I used a couple of different banners for my intercompany e-mail. One was "IV nurses really get to the point" and the other was "A nurse will stick it to you every time". Perhaps a clever little cartoon to go with one of these could be worked into a poster. When I was in school I would go to the Sunday funnies looking for examples of cartoons to kind of copy from. Hi and Lois were my favorite and I particularly liked the baby, but I just thought the characters looked so cute. You know who I think would be the perfect cartoon characters to put into nurses uniforms? Lucy from Peanuts (because she has a bit of a mean side to her) or Little Lulu (an older cartoon, but they did a TV cartoon series with her a few years ago). Nurse Ratched also comes to mind--especially when you're talking about sticking people with needles. Little Orphan Annie with those big eyes of her coming at someone with a needle would get a laugh. It's easy enough to copy a cartoon pose onto poster paper and color it in with magic markers. Good luck.
