Need some ideas of problems or issues that currently exist in nursing...

I'm in the middle of writing a paper for my nursing theory class and one of the points we're supposed to cover is how a current nursing problem can be addressed using a particular nursing theory. Can anyone give me some ideas for a problem to discuss? Doesn't have to be a huge global problem, it could be something specific to a certain patient or patient population.

how about safe staffing ratios?? you could write about how due to unsafe staffing issues, many nurses become curative as opposed to caritas (jean watson), due to lack of time, too many acute patients and overwhelming paperwork.
