I am a nurse in the Philippines. just got in here in US. Thinking of applying in NEW YORK State BON. the step by step process are pretty easy and simple according to their website. My concern is.. i don't wanna waste my money paying for CGFNS and application fee when in the end their just gonna tell me i'm not eligible for the exam.
My question is.. is there any of you guys here tried applying for NEWYORK STATE BON? i wanna know if they did ask for some random requirements (added requirements aside from the transcripts and diploma) THANKYOU. Hope to hear from you guys :)

NY is one of the states that allows you to take the NCLEX-RN without a valid SS#, but you'll need one before any US employer actually hires you for a job.
So if you have a SS# (to work), then yes, go for it, just know that the hiring of PH nurses are not in any demand, especially if it's a hospital job you're after.
