Confidence will come wioth experience. If you know the medication grouping, then you can understand the actions of the meds.

Keep your Nurses PDR or Nurses Drug Handbook on the cart, refrence it if you need to, but not for every drug. Medication passes should be completed in a timely manner. The answer for everything is... Im not sure about that, but I can look it up!

Remember the R's Right: Drug/Route/Patient/Time/Dose

Confidence comes with completing a job many times sucessfully.

Good Luck :jester: :nurse:

Look everything up that you are not familiar with. The first year of nursing is the hardest because you don't feel that you know what you're doing. Ask questions and look things up.
