i am a graduate student getting my master's at the moment. i am updating my resume because i may need to seek another position with flexible hours(maybe in the float pool, where i can make my own schedule). anywho... my question is: should i put my current graduate studies in the school section of my resume?

I can't give you an official answer but I'm a returning RN-MSN student (still catching up with the undergrad classes) and I did include that in my last resume for the per diem position I start next week. It's a magnet hospital so I figured they'd be interested in seeing that I am pursuing furthering my career and it did open up some questions for the interviewers. I'm not sure what your area of grad study is... mine is nursing education and even if I was applying for a FT position that they know I'll "grow out of" many MSNs in edu keep a per diem position anyway, so they should see that as a future asset.
my area of study is adult nurse practitioner. i only have 1 more year left (the clinical portion). hence, the critical need for flexibility. i was hesitant to put it on my resume, since it may seem that the position i am applying for will only be temporary for me. however, i am not hiding it... i am sure they will ask why i am seeking to be in the float pool... in which i was going to tell them that i needed flexibility since i was a grad student.
still i am unsure... do you think it may hurt my chances of getting the position?
missjorn, you have a point... thank you for your insight.
