Need help with nursing research

Hey guys so im having trouble trying to develop my thesis statement for my big research paper and im wondering if anyone could give me some help. My topic is home births vs hospital births but its more focused on the advantages/disadvantages, mother/baby outcomes all within home births.

Help would be greatly appreciated :)

    You identified the source of your problem in the OP. You need to decide what your focus is going to be before you can develop an actual thesis statement.

    Do you want to focus exclusively on home births? Or do you want to compare home births to hospital births? You have to chose: you can't do both simultaneously. Once you make that choice, you can focus on just that one topic and develop a clear statement.

    Is there a certain format that your instructor prefers for your statement? What are the parameters of your assignmnet? Is your assignment to simply survey and summarize the existing literature? Or are you supposed to write a research question or hypothesis and design a research study? etc.

    Well with our paper she made it simple to have a thesis statement, introduction, body and conclusion. Im just stuck with my opening thesis statement.
