Need some help with a Nursing Case Study (Never have written one before)

Hello everyone,

I am new to this group. I am a male nursing student at University of Pennsylvania studying in their accelerated program.

For our Med-Surg 1 course we were given the option to write a Case Study as opposed to taking the last exam for the this course. I was hoping someone may be able to provide a few links or may be able to speak further with me in regards to writing the case study paper. We have never had to do one before, and I know this is essentially a "glorified careplan," but I really want to do well.

If anyone wants more information regarding the actual case I can provide that but this is something that basically I am just hoping for general guidance with the organization and to actually see an example of how one of these are done.

Our requirements are essentially an APA paper, with a title page, abstract, ideally 8-10 pages for the body covering patho, 2 priority diagnosis, goals, interventions, outcomes, as well as looking at cultural barriers, etc, and finally a references page

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

Jimmy
