I'm doing a remedial course so I can sit for the NCLEX-RN again for the 4th time. It has been an incredible roller coaster to get the particular book requested to complete the remedial course. The book is Prentice Hall Comprehensive Review for NCLEX- RN, reviews and rationals by Mary A. Hogan the 2007 edition with the companion CD.
Let me cue all of you in my ordeal. First the course requires to complete the test provided in the companion CD of the book in order to keep moving forward to the next topic of content, if you do not demonstrate understanding when the test is completed you can move to the next topic. Good teaching tool but the problem with the book is that its running on its second edition and the course manager is requesting the first edition, which for my luck is been taken out of print.
I have purchase a total of 5 books now, one was the wrong one so I sent it back, the second the seller cancelled the order because he didn't had it in stock, the third I had to cancelled and submit a claim with the company because I was waiting for it for a month and never arrived, the forth on I was lucky enough to find at a great price, new with the CD, it arrived the next week, but surprise, it was mishandled by the mail carrier and the CD broke in half, I did not purchase insurance because it was a craigslist seller and my last attempt was last week when then again the order was cancelled because the seller did not had it on stock.
I feel so defeated that my nursing future is on hold by one simple book and CD, so I make a plead to my nursing community, if there is any one who can help me please let me know.

Have you tried searching by the isbn # instead of the title? Also, try public libraries. Doesn't make sense that you have to purchase the 1st edition when the 2nd edition is out now. Good luck on your exam.
