Need help finding a BSN program on the East Coast

hey,

I am applying to a bunch of nursing programs in Ca (CSU long beach, East Bay, San Marcos, San Bernardino, San Diego state and SF state), were I reside. I was wondering if anybody knew of a few good entry level BSN programs back east to consider. I would like to stay within 1 hour of the ocean as my fiance works in the scuba diving industry (also a paramedic). I am considering NYU and UMASS-Boston. As this is my first bachelors I'd like to go to a school with a great reputation. Any other ideas?

I also would like to be in a city that is somewhat large as I want to continue working as an EMT and my Fiance a paramedic. I have only been back east a few time. I have loved and would love to go to school there. I just dont have the time or money to go look at all there schools. Thats were you guys come in :D

Thanks,

Melissa

John's Hopkins and University of Maryland, both in Baltimore, MD, have top 10 nursing schools. The facilities at UMD are wonderful, but I only know of Hopkins by reputation. There are no great BEACHES within just 1 hour, but we are just off the Chesapeake Bay. Good luck!

thanks. I'll look into UoM but i think John's Hopkins is out of my price range for BSN. Maybe for masters :-)

Have you heard of Molloy College? It's in Rockville Centre, Long Island. ( about 30 minutes away from the city). It's an excellent school and I hope to be going there in the fall of 2012. Top 4 biggest nursing school in the United States, do some research! www.molloy.edu
