I was going to say the same as the pp - but, there are many more options (in my opinion) as an LPN than MA. MA's typically work in Dr. offices as they lack assessment skills. LPN's have a much wider range to choose from - LTC, Corrections, Dr. offices, Assisted Living, Home Health, School nurse, flu clinics and many, many more. I'm not sure of TN but New England rarely hires LPN's in a hospital - even RN's have a hard time as the big cities want BSN.
Good luck - which ever way you choose - I'm sure you will be happy!
I am currently going to school for a MA, I would like to change and go for LPN.I live in Chattanooga Tn and need suggestions on schools, and if you can do it online, which is the best?
Decided to try and switch because i want to work in a hospital and work with patients on a more one on one basis.
