Hi everyone, I just finished my review for my NCLEX RN. I was planning to take the NCLEX PN first before i take my RN exam. I need advice from you guys. I know that only RN's can asses, evaluate, and teach... so it means, choices that contains those 3 is considered wrong?
Need advice here! especially for those who took both RN and LPN exam.
THANKS in advance!

I took my NCLEX-PN in October and what you need to understand is LPN's reinforce all TEACHING. My exam had so many teaching aspects to it. It assumes that the patient has had a RN explain to them already so your reinforcing that knowledge. You have to know what it is your going to teach them, I had to reinforce several medications and how to take them and with or without food so knowing meds is important. Teaching them what signs and symptoms they have to be watching for and when to call their doctor. As LPNS we are assessing the patient and reporting these things from what we know about diseases to the doctor or RN. So all those choices are correct. If a question popped up like "are you doing the initial assessment?" then that would be incorrect.
hope that helps at all

Hi pinayme, you'll be fine with NCLEX RN reviewer. I passed using it. Just remember you CANT do initial assessment, just the ongoing assessment. I had a lot of precautions so try to memorize it. GOOD LUCK to you. Hope we pass both PN and RN! :)
