I'm not a nurse and neither is my fiance', but she is very much interested in getting an online nursing degree. She currently works as a flight attendant for a regional airline and can only do an online course right now. She has most of her associate's degree work in a non-nursing major complete, but stopped a couple years ago just short of finishing. She has also been interested in all things medical and is a very caring person.
If anyone could tell us about the process of becoming a nurse, the different levels of nurses, and any advice on online schools to watch out for, or online schools that really worked or are working really well, we would appreciate the mentoring. We don't want to go to a shady school and waste our money, because I can see her doing this for the rest of her life.

You can't do labs and clinicals online. Nursing school can only be done in person. If she were to get an ADN degree, there are online programs that can take her to a BSN or MSN but not until she's already an RN.
If she really wants to be a nurse, she's going to have to find a way to work her flight schedule around school or work a different type of job while she's in school. At least while she's becoming an entry level RN.
