Need advice on foreign nursing

Okay, so I've been looking into a few options for getting my nursing degree. I'm from the US and was going to get my ASN from the local college, but I know places like Germany offer free schooling and with as much as I want to travel and see the world I thought this may be an option for me. I just need to know that if I did this what steps would I take to complete it or is it worth it? I would eventually like to be a travel nurse either in Europe or in the United States. Because of my fiancé we'd probably eventually end up back in the US at some point in our lives, but we would still like to do travel nursing together, he already has his nursing degree. I just wanted to explore our options and if I could get some info before gushing to him about how this would be awesome. So if anyone has any reference material or advice I'd greatly appreciate it. I want to do this and hope it works out. Thanks for your time!

Are you sure you will qualify for free schooling in Germany? I find it very strange as most if not all countries have International fees that help keep fees locally reduced. The issues will be once you go back to the US and meeting state requirements
