Anyone??:(

I'm applying for Fall '09! I can't believe that they're suspending the evening program for the next two years, though! I almost lost it when I heard that - not sure if they're doubling the amount of day students, have you heard anything?

How did you do on your TEAS/pre-reqs? Have you applied before?

GOOD LUCK!!

Hello,

Yes, I did apply last year but didn't get in.. I got a 72 on my TEAS and A's in A&P. I applied this year again to the day program. Hopefully this year. There are so many applicants.. I didn't hear that about the evening program is that for 09.. I am taking Lifespan online.

How about you.. Did you apply day/evening.. pre reqs.

Good luck..

Hey!

I am SO nervous about getting into the program. I originally applied for the evening program but got a phone call a few days ago asking if I'd like to be considered for the day program. The woman I spoke with told me that they're making changes to the night classes and the program won't be available for another two years! So it looks like I'm applying for the day program now, lol!

I finished my last two classes (microbiology and lifespan) last semester so if I'm admitted to the program I only have to take the RN classes. I have A's in all the courses so far. Which number do they look at for the TEAS score? Is it the overall percentile?

Who do you have for lifespan? I'm not a huge psych fan but the class wasn't that horrible :D

Good luck to you, too!!

Hi,

As far as the TEAS score I think they look at the adjusted individual total score but I am not sure..I've heard so many different things on how they pick the applicants. I wonder what is going on with the evening program..

I have Flynn for Psy and I am taking it online.

See ya

HI,

I actually heard from someone else that got asked to apply to the day program as well!! Why all of a sudden.. I hope they are planning on taking more applicants during the day:no: Doesn't seem very fair to tell everyone this late.

Hey,

I have no idea why they've decided to do this now. It's so frustrating! I really hope they expand the size of the day program for these two years. I can't imagine admissions being even MORE competitve :sstrs:

Good luck with your lifespan class - and I'll keep you posted if I hear any more news!

Hey,

I am feeling soo discouraged with this whole process.. I need to apply other places at this point. I heard they are only accepting 32 for 09:( I am not sure how many applicants there are but I'm sure there are lots... Hard to stay positive.

Talk soon

I am in nursing 2, and they are changing the entire curriculum so they want to try out the new program with days, work out all the kinks, and then restart the evening program once it is all set. I do not think they are doubling the day problem, but I could be wrong...

I feel so bad for those on a waiting list & those who have been working towards starting fall 2009 eves! It makes us in the progran work that much harder because if we need to drop out for some reason, we would have to wait 2 years to continue, grrrr.

Hello,

Thanks for the response. How is the program going for you. I heard it's pretty intense. I am applying this year along with so many other applicants. I am not sure how many slots will be left after the wait list.

Good luck in the program..;)

The program is really demanding, thats for sure...especially with a job and kids...But it turns out great nurses and thats all that matters. I hope everything works out for you!

Hey guys,

I graduated from the evening program last May - I'm a mentor now for a day student, so I heard the news from her. I can't believe they are suspending it and only accepting 32 applicants. That is so unfair to everyone on the waiting list. If I were you I would apply to all the programs in the area - NSCC, Middlesex, plus there are some in NH - St. Joe's and Rivier (sp?). I heard Regis College has ongoing admissions - one of my pre-req classmates ended up there after not getting into NECCO. Don't put your hopes on just one school. Yes, you may have to commute farther, but you'll get used to that eventually.

As far as the TEAS goes, obviously it has become the key to getting into the program - along with a really good GPA in your pre-reqs. Don't take the TEAS lightly! Study for it as you would any high stakes test. Buy the study guide. Bone up on your math, grammer, and weird sciences (like ecology and genetics, and there were even questions about electricity for christ sake!) I had a 4.0 GPA and got a 89% on the TEAS and got put on the waiting list, but they called me the next day and offered me a slot. They also have to fill a certain number of spots with men and minorities, so you have a little better chance if you are considered one.

Well, good luck, guys - I hope you get in someplace...and don't be discouraged! If you don't get in this time there is always next year, and other schools around to try.:D
