Hello! I'm one year behind you (hopefully)! I have a prior degree, so I only have a few classes to take before I apply. Since I graduated from college 12 years ago, I'm taking it S L O W. I'll apply for Spring '10 admission after taking A&P I and II, Dev. Psych. and Microbiology over 2009.
Good luck to you and most importantly....CONGRATULATIONS!

The bridge over the lake during rush hour will get you, but other than that, it should be smooth sailing for you. Have you tried to find an alternative route? It may be quicker for you to go west on 1171 all the way to 35W and head north to avoid that traffic on 35E (depending on how far northwest in Lewisville you live).
I lived in Lewisville for years and we built our first house in Corinth, however, I now live in North Fort Worth! It will be about 60 miles for me each way.
Good luck to both of you ladies!
I am in group 1 also! I live in Justin, so I know how you feel about the drive! I'm so excited!

Congratulations and happy holidays to everyone. I would be glad if someone could hint me about the selection process or criteria for ADN program at NCTC. I've taken absolutely all the pre-requisites needed for ADN program with a NET score of 920 at Mclennan Community College but my application was refused because I didn't make at least 100pts on TOEFL IBT.
You can visit their website at www.nctc.edu It's a points system. They don't utilize the NET--they use the HESI entrance exam. I know that pre-reqs vary by school, but one thing that sets NCTC apart from other ADN programs in this area is that they require you to take BIOL A&P, not the A&P that is altered for 'health care professionals'. They will not accept the latter as sufficient. HTH!
thank you for the immediate response. I apologise for asking this question... will u advise me to take the Biol a& p again since i had 'B'?
I got a "B" in A&P. It is based on a point system and your GPA. Def check out their website. It breaks it down for you. This semester the point cut off was 8 points with a 3.22 for the GPA( I think). So, if you check out the website, you can break down your classes and grade and see where you sit. Best of luck to you!!
Thank you Venessaifb for the hint. if I may ask u...
what textbook/studyguide/guidelines will you recommend for me to prepare for the HESI entrance test?
Thank you
