do a lot of practice test with immidiate rationale, and understand why other options arent the best choices. there are techniques on how to tackle a question on the kaplan book.

Just do question after question and get used to the way the NCLEX wants you to think. Read every rationale, even the ones you thought were easy and you will think like an NCLEX nurse. This was the difference between the two times I took the test. The first time I took it, I went in with my real world expereince brain and failed. The second time I went into the test I bought a NCLEX book with 5000+ questions and did about 100 questions a day before the exam. When reading rationales and using Kaplan strategies you start to think like a fantasy world NCLEX nurse and it will really help.
