NCLEX tips

What did u guys use for nclex preo? My school uses Kaplan but i absolutely hate it and ill be sitting for boards in a few weeks

I passed my NCLEX last year in 75 questions. I took Kaplan because it worked for me. I require a lot of practice and repetition and that's what Kaplan provided me with. To my understanding, Hurst reviews a lot of content but I knew I wouldn't be able to remember heavy content review so I searched for a program that provided me with a lot of practice questions and rationales. I needed guidance and tips on answering NCLEX questions as well and I believe that Kaplan was able to provide that.

I actually wrote an article last year called, "Took Kaplan and passed NCLEX with 75 questions", with a more detailed explanation of my study plan. Hope this helps!

Thread moved to NCLEX forum. Good luck.

I hated Kaplan. When I took the diagnostic test I scored in the mid 70's and for the readiness test I also scored in the mid 70's. I believe my scores were identical. I don't feel Kaplan helped me much because I already had a higher level of thinking and critical thinking skills. I did do every Q-bank question, all trainers, RN test Drive, and the four sample tests. In the end I am not sure if it helped me or not, but I did pass the NCLEX in 75 questions. I think the most important thing is to go with your instincts and do not pick an answer because it is the only one you are familiar with.

Good luck!
