I was not the strongest student in school yet somehow I managed to pass the NCLEX in 75 questions. So, I wanted to share what resources I used that helped me to pass in 75 as well as provide some tips for studying.
1. Saunders NCLEX-RN (good for understanding patho) and the app on the phone is awesome for practice on the go. I also love the computerized alternative questions.
2.My lifeline was the LaCharity Prioritization Delegation and Assessment
3.Kaplan RN book- this was great for strategies on how to narrow down choices when you have no clue.
4. Perry and Potter Clinical Nursing skills
4. I also found some helpful guides listed on here that other people put together
5. After each question I would read the rationale and try to understand it. I also wrote things down I didn't know as well as all the medications
6. Do 2000-3000 Q's before taking exam average (100 a day and none on the weekend)
7. During the test make sure your take a break before during the test - you can bring a snack so you can eat a little something
8. While studying make sure you do several comprehensive tests and review them twice
9. Make a good study plan. I focused on different systems on different days.
10. Relax and test day go with what you know! Make peace with yourself!
TEST RESULTS:
I also found out I passed the next day by going on to the Board of Nursing for my state.
