Hey everyone!
So I want to start getting a head-start on studying for my NCLEX (not until December, but I am nothing if not a type-A planner). I have the Saunders book with the supplemental online qbank and the Kaplan basics and qbanks.
I was hoping to find something to help with medications and maybe some more explanation/question books. I was looking online but was overwhelmed with the selection and the mix of reviews from people. Does anyone have a favorite?
Personally, I tend to do best with practice questions. I was hoping to, this summer, review the systems of the body, read my Priority and Delegation book, and re-read my pathophysiology text. I tend to get really sleepy/bored when I read long books/chapters though, so I am trying to create a plan where I can really break it up, perhaps by system. Any suggestions?
Thanks for helping me get a head-start all!

I loved my Mosby's Pharmacology Little Notebook. But I heard they have medications just for NCLEX alone.
I loved Saunders new Q&A because it is broken by the same categories for NCLEX and I used Kaplan (questions for critical thinking and strategies) and Hurst (content) as the main primary source to pass NCLEX.
GOOD LUCK

I suggest a good book to review topics, especially material you may have forgotten. Saunders is excellent for that. I highly recommend Kaplan for their online practice questions once you're done with nursing school. Just relax and focus on your semester ahead and then worry about nclex.

No one thing works for everyone. I did Kaplan and Saunders and found NCLEX pharm flash cards on amazon for about $20. I thought those cards were very helpful.
hurst has a free one week trial. Use it, and if you like it, buy the program, if not then don't. Not sure if Kaplan has the same thing or not.
