So I just took the NCLEX in Minnesota last night (6/21) 2pm-5:20pm at 174 questions. I waited 2 hours, did the PVT trick and I got the good pop up! I am super skeptical because of when I did the trick ~8pm. Having a minor freak out because I feel like I missed a lot of easy questions and I know for a fact that I got the last one wrong.
The prep I used was mainly ATI and wow it was NOTHING like the NCLEX. I was getting highish marks (%70s) on all the ATI stuff but I felt like I knew nothing on the NCLEX.
The vast majority of questions I got on the NCLEX were extremely difficult and the easy ones I know for a fact that I missed quite a few of those because I was so anxious.
Just writing to document whether the PVT trick still works and to easy my stomach...
Follow up. According to the Minnesota Board of Nursing, I passed. I thought I had to wait 24 hours but I checked just after posting my message and my results were in.
moral of the story, you WILL feel like an idiot leaving that test. You'll feel like you forgot everything you learned and you'll want to gouge your eyes out. I have no idea how they score this thing because there is no way I got 50% right.
