I took my NCLEX RN today at 2pm. I had about 20 SATA and lots of prioritization and delegation questions. I ended at 91 questions and the question was REALLY easy. Go to do the PVT and it takes me to the credit card page. UGH I feel like i got shot in the brain! PVT worked after my PN boards. I am fairly certain i failed even though everyone says that there is no way they would fail me at 91. Thoughts?

I heard that if you have a lot of SATA then you probably passed because they are considered higher level questions. Good luck to you, does your state allow you to get quick results?
We can get the quick results but it is still 48 hours. I don't know how the holiday will play into this either. what is this about a "higher level question" I have never heard of that!
I remember reading that alternate format questions are considered to be harder, so if you get a lot you are doing OK. I can't remember where I read that or if it was a reliable source though . I'm not sure about the holiday, I hope you don't have to wait until Monday!

You can fail at 75 or 265 or any in between. While the PVT is quite accurate if you get the "good popup" it's less so if you're taken to the CC page. It's possible to get that and still pass. There are posts on this site that speak to that exact point. If you have truly failed, hopefully you'll understand where the failure occurred and be able to correct it so you can give it another try.
Good luck!

I'm just thinking with the 2013 test plan people will be seeing a whole lot more than other cohorts prior.... unfortunately tose question types can be make or break... I kept scoring a 37% on the SATA practice tests the questions can break u!

Wouldn't it be nice if they just didn't have them at all? We're not trying to be MDs here lol

So sorry, as much as I prayed and begged and looked for info online hoping the pvt was not accurate it was. Within an hour after taking my test, as soon as it said delivery successful i tried the trick and got the page to pay again. The quick results confirmed I failed. I stopped counting after 75 but I think my test went to about 85 questions. I hope a miracle happens for you, but if you did fail, I am so sorry because I know exactly how it feels. After I didn't get the "good pop-up" I had an anxiety attack and have been crying on and off since I confirmed the results. However this morning I woke up with a positive mindset and a whole new attitude. I will study my butt off AGAIN and I WILL pass this test. Go through all the emotions you need and then pick yourself up. We can do this. Best of Luck.

You can do it!
Thanks! I know I can. I must be smart and capable if I got through 5 years of nursing school with decent grades. I honestly don't know where I went wrong, but I'm gonna wait for my results from the nclex people to see what my weaknesses are and go from there.
