NCLEX help!!

Published

Hello all!! I am about to begin my first semester of nursing school in January and I was wondering when I should be getting an NCLEX preparation book? Is it good to have throughout nursing school or should i wait to purchase one later on? Also, is there a huge difference between each edition? For example, I was looking at the Kaplan NCLEX book and they have one for 2017 but my worry is that they will release a different edition by the time it's time for me to take it and I'm worried there might be a huge difference between them. Also do you guys have any NCLEX prep book recommendations??? Thank you for the help!!

The Saunders NCLEX prep book is good to use throughout school. It has great content review which will help you out as well as you will get practice with NCLEX type questions. If you buy a used edition; it shouldn't make a big difference. Personally, I wouldn't waste money on a Kaplan book at this time -- it will only help with NCLEX strategies and questions. Not so great for content.

Hi! I used Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination, 5th Edition. And I guess there's a latest edition in the market, you might want to check it out.

As for Kaplan, I have that book but I really haven't read through it.
