I took NCLEX today, here's the breakdown.
It stopped at 75 questions. Got a TON of Select All That Apply, one of those click on the body, three math questions (2 hard kilogram type ones and one easier type one near the end). I had two specific diseases that I got over and over again in different ways. I remember about 4-5 questions, looked them up,and failed them. one was diet, two were signs and symptoms of disease.
I'm not feeling confident, please reply!

Hey,
I took mine today, too. I don't really have any reassurance to offer you but good luck! I'm in the same boat, my test seemed pretty similar to yours, hopefully we passed!!!
Did you feel like you missed some signs/symptoms, dietary and others like that? Makes me think those are lower level questions. Scared to death for sure!
I had some off the wall signs and symptoms that seemed totally unrelated to the procedure/disease process, and required A LOT of critical thinking. I remember just sitting there looking at the question thinking "How in the world am I going to answer this, I have no clue!!!" After analyzing them for awhile, I finally had an idea, hopefully it was right!
My test definitely seemed like a harder level, possibly harder than I've ever taken, and I graduated from a really good school. In school, when I would look at a question, I would usually immediately have an idea what the answer was, with the NCLEX I really had to sit there and think about every answer choice and eliminate them.
It was so hard, but I feel okay about it. Hope to find out the results early next week before I lose my mind!!!
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bama RN,
If you read the Pearson book on CAT computerized adaptive testing, it says that the pass rate is 50 percent for EVERY BODY who takes the test.
in short if you start doing better than 50 percent, the computer gives you harder questions, then as soon as it feels confident you are going to pass, it shuts off. (or as soon as if feels confident you are going to fail)
So if you normally do better than 50 percent on exams, then you are going to feel horrible in comparison after taking a CAT style of exam. (the NCLEX messes with your head, just like nursing school did)
But I have to admit, I got the heebee jeebees today, my confidence wained, and I began worrying if I passed or not.
I say odds are high you passed. But whats the worse they can do to you if you fail? Shave your head and make you take the NCLEX again?
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
20 hours and passing........
Continuing to remember more questions I know I missed. Everyone in my family tells me to cool it and not think about it, but this is a career we're talking about, and I already have a nursing job.

85% of US educated nurses pass the 1st time, so odds are you did...Enjoy your weekend, do something fun and relaxing to take your mind off the wait, I know easier said than done...

My family is acting the same way! They're like "you know you passed, quit worrying about it! Easy for them to say, they have no idea what we're going through!!!

Hey Bamaguy,
I'm right there with ya. Sounds like our experiences were rather similar. I took it yesterday and it seemed like many of the questions were from outer space. I have scoured this website in search of some sympathy, because I feel like I failed, and everyone's posts have been great help. You'll do great Bama guy. keep the faith.
