i have a question about nclex eligibilty time. let me explain it clearly, lets say you have to apply for eligibilty process & the day you got your approval letter from that date to take the test & pass nclex in 2 years & if somehow your 2 yrs. finished without passing ncelx-rn & your eligibilty for that state expire then, can you apply to another state? will another state let you take nclex-rn if , you have not passed nclex from different state in 2 yrs? if some one understood this then would you please clarify on this? thank you so much.

as far as I know, You can apply to any BON in sny state. They have their own qualifications/requirements. If you do meet their qualifications, then you will be allowed to take nclex, if not then they will tell you the reason. Better check particular BON as you will find more info on how to apply on their state. You will have to submit all the requirements and you have to wait for months again just like what you have done in your own state. If waiting for approval and fee for application isnt a problem, then you can try applying on the state of your choice. i am not really aware of the 2 year period, BON usually hold your documents (CA) for 3 years, that is according to the letter they sent me when I first applied and your name will be deleted in their system within 5 years. If within 3 years you have not taken nclex, then they will consider your application idle or your name will be deleted from their file on later date(better check website for details as I am not sure about this)
Nclex is a national test, If your BON doesnt give limitations on how many time you have to take nclex til you pass, just keep on trying. Others tried more than 10x. means they have tried taking nclex in more than 2 years! others still keeps on trying and others already passed. If you are planning to move from another state in the next few months, it is better to apply in the state where you wanna live for good to avoid hassle of transferring license from one state to another.
Best of luck. Pls correct me if i am wrong. This is what I know at this time. Hope this helps.
