Hello, I recently graduated from a WHNP program and I am currently studying for the NCC WHNP boards. I am using the Fitzgerald online review and Kelsey's Midwifery & Women's Health NP Certification Review Guide. Any advice from those who have taken the exam more recently would be appreciated. Content to focus on? Level of difficulty of the exam. How long did it take to receive your ATT after applying to NCC to be able to sit for certification. Thank you!

I seriously doubt you'll have any problem if you recently graduated. Although I didn't take the exam recently, I did take it right after graduation. I'm not one for cramming as that just makes me more nervous but am more the "if I don't know it by now" type. I thought the exam was relatively easy. I do know content changes. Don't remember how long it took to get the certification . . . I don't think longer than a month. Good luck!!!

Exam was very straightfoward. As in, asked for primary tx of a disease given typtical presentation, not 3rd line tx in someone with a bizarre presentation and weird allergies. Unlike like a lot of other nursing exams (NCLEX, ANCC ANP exam), you're asked clear, coherent, relevant questions.

Hello I got my letter in a week. But when I got the letter to test, I had to wait an additional 5 days in order to select a day. They send the letters out on the 15th and 30th. I am sure you should have gotten your letter by now. I too am using Kelsey. It is very hard to find any input on what to expect as we are a select few that specialize in this arena. Have you found out anything since you posted your question. Thanks :)
