Did you get in? are you a transfer? what was ur gpa? any exam you had to take for application? i may apply as a transfer thanks!!!

Hey! I got accepted. I'm transferring from Missouri. One piece of advice if you decide to apply as an out-of-state student is to follow up constantly. There was a huge issue with the admissions committee not even looking over my application at first because they taught it was incomplete. But thankfully I saved all the corresponding emails between myself and the director of nursing. My overall GPA was a 3.2 and I had to take the TEASV exam. Good luck applying!

By the way I applied to the accelerated program. I've already received my first degree in a non-nursing major. So I'm technically a second degree seeking student.

oh im really happy for you that you got in! I am a sophmore right now at ECU and am going to transfer over the summer to see what school i can get into for my traditional 4- year BSN program. I was born in NC and think its amazing A&T is in durham? not the best part of town but im sure you can get a good safe apartment. do you have any tips on how to do well on your TEAS test, and what credits transferred over? and also do you have to apply to the college itself and then the nursing school or just the nursing school? thanks!!!

It's actually in Greensboro and I did about average on the TEAS. They require over a 64% which is very doable even with minimal studying. My advice for the TEAS exam would be to revisit algebra if you took it a while ago. I took it about six years ago so a lot of the information left me. You apply to both the college and the school of nursing. I don't think they will be continuing the 4-year traditional program after next May, so if you are a sophomore it may be wise to look at other nursing schools in the area too. Their RN-BSN and Accelerated programs will still be going on. Good luck!!
