I applied to EC and they have recieved my transcripts and I should here back from them soon. Here is my problem. I took NC1 this passed week and did great, and I am an LPN so I do not have to take NC2. My question is, since I can't get a study guide to NC3 b/c I am not enrolled as of yet, can anyone tell me what NC3 is maily focusing on, this way I can start to study some things and get the ball rolling.

Thanks

here's a pic right out of the content guide....U should be able to download the guides from the excelsior site, but I don't know if you have to be enrolled 1st though...

I am currently studying for NC 3 and am planning to take on February 28th. I understand the problem that you are having getting the content guide for NC3 because I couldn't get it either until I was enrolled....so, here is what I can tell you.

There are 8 content areas in NC3:

I. Pain and comfort 10%

II. Human Sexuality 10%

III. Cultural Diversity 10%

IV. Chronic Illness 10%

V. Community based Nursing 15%

VI. Needs of the childbearing family 25%

VII. Sensory Impairments 10%

VIII. Reproductive Disorders 10%

I have 2 1/2 sections typed out in a study guide that I would be happy to email to you if you just let me know. You should be able to access the content guide when they get all of your information processes, but until then, I'll give you what I've got.

Oh yeah, Great Job ! on passing NC1. I can relate to that feeling of elation since I was also just there not long ago. Good luck in your future studies.

I was on EC website. I haven't enrolled with them yet but I have done the free sign in. It will give me contents to every class except the NC classes. Do you have the contents for NC1. I have been studying my old LPN stuff and I have a CN book that a friend loaned me. I dont know if it's up to date though. Thanks bunches!!
