Navy or Army?

Really? Not interested in the airforce eh? That's too bad...blue is where its at.

I don't know about the States but up here nurses are considered a "purple" trade meaning that our element is reflected only in our uniforms...we aren't green or blue or black, we just go where we are needed.

I think your best bet for reliable info would be your local recruiting office...if anybody should know it will be them.

I have two questions for the more experienced out there!
1. I am looking at joining the military in two to three years. I have narrowed down my choices on branches to Army and Navy. The specialty that I hope to gain experiene in before joining the military is Trauma/ER/ Critical Care. What are the pros and cons of both?
2. What are the physical requirements for army and navy for an officer? I'd like to get a headstart on preparing for that. I run daily, but I know that's not all that the military does. lol.

I think you are doing the right thing by looking at all the services before making a decision, but have also looked at USPHS?

The choice on which branch is always a tough one. I could give you the Navy's role in ER/ Trauma, but would have no insight for the Army. There's lots to tell both good and bad. You can do a search using my username and find lots of discussion on the topic. If you want, you can give me a call (304-433-1580)and we could discuss it too, talked to several others via phone before. I'm normally captive in my vehicle on the drive home from 1500-1700, M-F Eastern time and that's the easiest time for me to talk. Got 3 kids and married, so harder to talk when I'm home.
