My Step- by- Step Application process with Mildred Elley
I've been looking for an LPN school for over a year. I needed this school to be accredited and preferable gave transferable credits. While browsing online i found Mildred Elley but I wasn't sure they were accredited since they are an extension school so I wrote it off and kept searching. I applied to Brooklyn learning center and took the test in january which cost $40, I scored a 96 but somehow was only in the 30th percentile and I needed to be in the top 50th (waste of my damn time and money) it took them 5 months to send my scores by the way. Anyway, discouraged I decided to give CUNY another shot until I decided to go up to MILDRED ELLEY last week, I just went for some information and to make sure what I read on online forums were correct (something I should've done a long time ago but I'm easily talked out of things). I went and I met with Luis an admission advisor who was very nice, he showed me a PowerPoint presentation for the school about the mission an policies. After that he gave me some papers to sign off on which just summed up what he presented me in the PowerPoint. After we discussed financial aid, what I loved is that they have FASFA just as a CUNY school would. Then he told me all the forms I have to bring back. After that we took a tour of the school which is small on one floor and what I noticed while on the tour was how clean the school was the class size is small,no more than 25 students, staff wa friendly and professional. After the tour I took the ENTERANCE test! It wasn't timed and you can use a calculator it was very easy just study your formulas and there was not alot of questions. The test was Reading Comprehension, writing and Math all multiple choice. After he gave me a packet to fill out and bring back so I'll be bringing the rest of my paper work this week I'll keep posting.
Tuition: $5,400 per 12 credit
Length : 15months
What included: MA and LPN
If you guys have any questions Im ready.
