MUSC ABSN Fall of 2015

I know this is still a little early, but I wanted to go ahead and make the thread so all prospective students could prepare. My credentials aren't nearly as good as a lot of people who have applied, but I felt like it was worth a shot since MUSC is my last chance at a BSN before I just do the ADN and bridge to BSN later on.

I should have right at a 3.1 at the time of my application. Made a C in Anatomy, a B+ in Physiology, and a B- in Chemistry. Microbiology will be in progress next semester, and I made pretty much As in every other non-science pre-req. I'm hoping that my volunteer and work experience will buffer my low GPA and grades :)

    Ahhhh! I can't wait to find out. And yes, once the letters are officially sent out, you can call in and ask. My friend was able to do this last year.

    Thanks for calling y'all! I've called so much that I don't want to keep bothering them. I'm also too nervous to hear over the phone in case it's bad news. I'm volunteering with Hospice for the first time today so I won't be able to check the mail until 4:30-5. I'm over in West Ashley about 7 miles from downtown so if it was mailed yesterday I should get it today or tomorrow, maybe saturday at the latest. Ahhhh I'm so nervous about everything right now! If I don't get in this time I'll probably reapply for the spring and I don't think I can handle this waiting game again. It's so intense

    Has anyone heard back from other schools? I was wait listed by Duke and not accepted at UF.

    Apparently gave a lot of spots to their own alumni. My friend was denied there but accepted by John Hopkins. There's no rhyme or reason to it. Which just makes me more nervous!

    I only applied to MUSC and Trident because a lot of the other schools had requirements that I don't meet.

    Yeah I was nervous about finding out over the phone. I was accepted into another program starting in May, and got a hefty scholarship from them...but I asked them for an extension on accepting since I was waiting on MUSC! I've been so anxious I HAD to ask, but I did get in. I wish the best for everyone, I hope we all get in!!
