Multi state License

Hi. I'm new in All Nurses. Just want to know if you have a Multi State license (Compact State), are you able to work in non-compact state while waiting for the License Endorsement? if yes, How many months/ years? cause the License Endorsement took forever. Please Advice. Thanks.

No, you can't work in a non-compact on your compact state license.  And, if you relocate to a non-compact state your compact license loses its mult-state privileges.

Best wishes.

Oh I’m sorry @chare I didn’t clarify my question. So basically, I have a Maryland License and planning to move to New jersey. I know new jersey is not yet Compact license but I think they’re allowing nurses to work with multi state if Im not mistaken. I applied already for license endorsement. The thing is Am I allowed to work In NJ using Maryland License (compact state) while waiting for my NJ License, if Yes, till when? Thanks..

Yes, you are correct regarding NJ.  As NJ is in the process of implementing the NLC are, or were, allowing RNs to work on their multi state license.
