hey guys, im a nursing student in california, and im trying to transfer to MTSU by fall '16- ive finished my core nursing classes with a's and b's, and am now wrapping up this final semester with a few general classes required by mtsu. My projected gpa is due to be a solid 3.5 (though I wish it were higher), and my hesi score is 85.7 (this being the first time I took the test).
Im wondering a few things- first off, i've read that mtsu requires 80% of its students to be tennessee residents, leaving the 20% for out-of-state applicants
*does this bring my chances down? or up? should I be a resident before even bothering to apply?
Also, would it be wise to retake my hesi? I know how the grading system works, but I cant help but to worry about not scoring a 90 or higher...
your brutal honesty is asked for *gulps*
any other information would be so helpful, im afraid im undergoing psychosis at the moment
thanks again
