I had earned my MSN in 2011 and want to go Adult NP. How many hours do I have to take clinic ?

It depends on your state and your program.

juan de la cruz, MSN, RN, NP

Specializes in APRN, Adult Critical Care, General Cardiology. Has 29 years experience.

Yes, totally program-dependent with the caveat that for national certification, both AANP and ANCC require completion of the 3 advanced P's (Patho, Pharm, Physical Assmt) and 500 hours of ANP focused clinicals at the very least.

PMFB-RN, BSN, RN

Specializes in burn ICU, SICU, ER, Traum Rapid Response. Has 16 years experience.

There are quite a few post MSN NP programs out there. Usually they are 25-30 credits, counting clinical and can be done in two - three semesters.
