Moving to NJ, need advice...

Published

Moving to NJ within the next 6 months. Need advice on where to move. I need to move no more than 30 mins from UMDNJ(Newark) preferably 15 mins. Looking for 1-2 bed condo.

Any advice on safe/nice places to live or places to stay away from will be appreciated.

Thanks

Get on all New Jersey web sites, request the free maps. I would see if it's possible to subscribe to the Star-Ledger newspaper and look through the apt/condo section. I would definitely stay out of Newark, you might try Englewood,New Jersey--it's about 18 miles from Newark but nicer.

I suggest you stop and check out fairlawn. its a wonderful place. it also has very nice schools for your kids! i live in west milford but my parents live there. glad to help! :plonker2: :plonker2:

Thank you for your time. I'm really nervous as of right now! I spend most of the day studying and i really really really want to pass this exam. you've done enough to help, but if you have any good advice, id be glad to hear it! thanks again.

Best wishes,

Victoria

West of Newark is nice: Milburn, Summit. South of Newark try Cranford, Kenilworth, Clark, Westfield. You can also find some nice new condos in the Bayonne and Jersey City area if you are looking for a closer to NYC city lifestyle. Go on NJ.com and look in the classifieds for rentals and homes to buy. Good luck. You could also look North of Newark in the Belleville, Nutley, Montclair areas.
