Moving to NC

Hi everyone! I am a senior nursing student in Southern New Jersey. graduating in December and planning on moving to the Charlotte area soon after graduation. I have been doing some research on the area hospitals and have found that the 2 major ones are CMC and Presbyterian. Please correct me if I am wrong. I was able to contact CMC and they gave me some information, however I have not heard from Presby. Does anyone know what they're approximate starting salary is for new grads?

Also, which hospital of the 2 of them provides more opportunities for a new grad? I have not completely decided which area I want to work. I am torn between pediatrics and NICU or just starting in Med Surg to get some more experience and hone my nursing skills.

Thanks in advance!

I work for CMC and really like it there it has several smaller hospitals you can work at and CMC main as well as we are opening a Children's hospital in OCT. I have friends who work at Presby and really like it too, not sure what the starting salary is though for a new nurse

How do you like working for CMC? And what is the pay and benefits like? I am moving to Charlotte next year and was wondering.

I love cmc but have friends who love presby. I think the low pay is 19 with a max of 29 but that is an rn 1 and we have three levels and at each level you get a raise, benefits are so/so pretty good for the area but not as good as the ones I had in OH.
