Hello everyone!
I'm a new RN in florida and i'm looking to move back to MD (to be closer to family) at the end of December. Does anyone know how long the endorsement takes??
I've been applying for jobs, but since I still don't have an active MD license I think that's why I haven't been called. Or is the job market for new grads THAT bad? Any advice for getting my foot in the door SOMEWHERE!?? I have lots of medical experience, I was a Navy Corpsman and currently work as a PCT on a busy Med/surg floor.
Any tips or advice would be awesome!!! :-)

Endorsement generally does not take long, but mine was done before they requires fingerprint checking.
The jobs market for new grads is poor, just as it is in most of the country. And as such, many facilities will want you to have your license, before they even look at the application.
Thanks @caroladybelle :-)

I've just started at UMMC and am from Indiana. I do have 2.5 years experience but I was told by my recruiter they're hiring a lot of brand new grads for the step down units in the critical care tower. As far as the licensing process. It's not bad. If you can get your fingerprints done in state, it takes less than a week to get your temporary license. Not exactly sure how long if you're not able to get here to do it. Hope that helps.
Thanks!! I'm looking into it now!!

Hi, I recently moved from CA. I'm a newer grad. Took 2 months to get my license by endorsement. Good luck!
